That is now the high sale for a widebody. $390k with Buyer Commission. Amazing.
What's more amazing is that there is rust under the rear window of that car - both sides. I have seen pics taken from up under the trunk area. Also, the 3 piece OZ wheels have several cracked wheel bolt holes. Plus, I have seen pics of one of the OZ wheels from the back side of the wheel and at least one of the rim bolt nuts is missing (snapped rim bolt) and the bolt glued back into the wheel to look like the bolt is whole. The center console shifter wood panel is such a poor fit that foam was inserted along the perimeter of the wood so the wood was snugged up. Also, the rear taillight seals were completely petrified from sun/heat. For $390k... Shiny new paint and refinished wood and leather treated.
AMAZING! Given the above, the price is an absolute testament to the power of emotion and desire as drivers of human decision making. Few things are more fascinating to me than the chemical/psychological reaction we experience as human beings when we see a thing of beauty. All you long-time Benz from members know my opinion as to the aesthetic of the SEC, which is that it is second only to the female form. As crazy as the sales price is, as a work of art, the WB is worth every penny
