Is this a 500SE after all? The instrument cluster screams modern laminated gauge faces....am I wrong in thinking that the color combos (i.e. black needles, et al) is a recent thing?
No thanks to that fraud job in Oregon passing off on ebay clusters as "AMG" (successfully, in multiples, unfortunately), I am starting to see these gauges pop up on "AMG" replicas around the globe. Though this one seems relatively better, I can't say as to whether these are 1980 gauge faces or not.
The seats look like the same ones that were in my '83 500SL, though I wouldn't call them "real" Recaros.... replicas? The ones in that car didn't have any Recaro markings on them, and looked pretty primitive construction-wise looking underneath.
Clue: The 1986+ third brake light painted in white. You be the judge.
