That's fine, we're not trying to give you a hard time, but this board is for enthusiasts to share information about pre-merger AMG, not as a personal broadcast service. Perhaps post some information about your car in the members section so we can see what you have and I'm sure there will be some positive feedback from members along with useful information.

I almost purchased the 1989 Gemballa in July of 2008 that first went to Canada and on to Talbir in the UK.

Reason I didn't purchase is that he hadn't obtained a clear Virginia title and the car wouldn't pass my states emission test which is based on the standards for the model year.

Didn't the controversial silver C126 widebody that was for sale a few years ago on the West Coast have title problems?

Yes, I am not a member of any MBZ forum, I saw posting while browsing and posted this on all 3 forums I saw this on. I am trying to have the new owner contact me in anyway, please if anyone knows him have him contact me. Like I said in my post, I am not looking to discuss publicly more about my incident because it will turn into a he said she said match which I will not engage in. If anyone knows the new owner, please direct him to me, or if anyone is planning to purchase from Mr. Kyle, please contact me.

Welcome to the forum. Sorry to hear about your dissatisfaction with your SEC purchase. Transaction aside, hopefully you'll at least share some info on the car itself with us... and if there's stuff with the car that still needs sorting, you are in the right place to ask questions and get help.

I just found this forum after finding it mentioned on some others that I look at. I have done business with Mr. Kyle before on one of his many 560SEC. It was quite possibly the worst buying experience I ever had. Not only do I feel he covered up SERIOUS issues with the car and the car was not as described he cannot be trusted and a lot of the found documents I had from him which were just photocopys of documents wound up later to be fake. I cannot begin to tell you the horror story of my purchase. I truly hope the buyer of that car goes and inspects it before he gives Mr. Kyle a single cent! That was my biggest mistake He is not one to be trusted. If the buyer of this car is on this forum, please PM me. I would like to talk with you over the phone, or is anyone knows the buyer of this car, please direct him to me.

Not me. Nice car, no doubt. Bidding increments seem odd. Wonder where Kyle picked this up. Looks very much like a Japan car with the trunk badge and glove box door sticker. I'm pretty sure that was a JAuto car. I'll check their past listings.

Auction is over with an unkown "buy it now" price. Fabulous car to a mystery buyer. Hope it went to someone we know.

The three Hammers sold from one collection a few years back were all California examples. As is Reggie Jackson's wide body and a red W124 dohc.

Ok stupid question, has anyone in CA every tried to smog a 6.0 32V? Just curious to know if the winning bidder was from CA if he had a snowballs chance in hell in passing smog. It still would be a fabulous car to put in a collection and just not register it in CA. Just planning in case I hit the lottery

His reserve is probably double where it's at currently. It's a real beauty, the pinnacle of AMG goodness.
