I was just scammed by a famous car dealer into purchasing a fake AMG. The guy I bought the vehicle from owns the London Motor Museum and also has a TV Show on the history channel “Ultimate Wheels”. His name is Elo.
Attached is a link to the snapshot of the eBay ad where I saw this vehicle listed. You can see that it says “genuine amg from factory”

But you will also notice by looking at the pictures that its not. Its not something I realised at the time of buying it. I was buying from a Motor Museum and from a so called specialist in classic cars. What reason would I have to doubt them.
I am in the process of taking them to court and they insist the vehicle is a genuine amg, they want me to prove that its not. How can I do this?
I didn’t realise at the time it was fake. However when I received delivery of the vehicle I noticed that no paper work came stating it was a amg. I checked the full vehicle and not one thing on it said amg apart from the fake badge at the back. I then looked at pictures and realised that its not even got a amg kit on it. The exhaust is not an amg, nor does it have anything that like that on the engine.
I know its fake, but how do I prove it. Thank you for any help provided, any help at all would be greatly appreciated.

Every piece of body kit that is authentic should have an AMG stamp molded into the urethane. The trunk spoiler looks AMG, the front spoiler is not AMG, no side skirts, the rear skirt is not AMG, steering wheel is not AMG, engine is stock, trunk badge is added on (not period correct). If the dealer says it is "factory AMG" have them prove it is since the only AMG item appears to be the trunk spoiler. Wheels are not AMG - maybe Ronal?

The SEC has had terrible bodywork done to it. I am willing to bet you will find a ton of bondo beneath all that paint.
The bodykit it has is not correct for the year. Someone attempted to "facelift" the car by adding "Gen II 1986-1991" side cladding. I am also scratching my head whether that kit is even AMG.... something looks off about it. It may be another tuner's or some sort of replica/modification of someone's creation.

Oof, that poor engine bay. +1 on the body filler, the skirts don't look AMG.Hard to believe this was considered a museum worthy example? More like tired daily...

The only amg bits I can see are the rear lip spoiler and the pentas! the kit looks like lorinser or even zender definitely not amg! The car looks in poor shape and I dread to think what it will be like underneath a car of that age in the UK especially.

Sweet Baby Jesus!
The seller is a scammer, but it seems that you did not ask for the backup that you needed to verify it was an AMG. I hate to say this but it doesn't look like you even looked at the photos before sending the money! What a nightmare, I hope you can get your money back.
