Congratulations. I was holding myself back on this one, as I'm in negotiations on a W108 purchase, and need to stay liquid. But man, did I want it. Nice job! Can't wait to hear more about it once you get it home.

Very nice deal! I know my depth perception is often off, but does it look like staggered wheels on the car....but with the wider ones up front instead of on the back?

Hard to tell from the pictures, but will let you know upon delivery to my house. I will take a lot of pictures and post them and give you a detail reference. I will post the Vin also. I can not use EPC yet since I forgat my old account password. I have contacted them to get access again, since they will not let me open a new account.

So got the car, the vin has been run, WDB1260441A145010. Dealer code shows 218 so it was sold in Fulda Germany, it is a true Euro. Will be taking more pictures as soon as the weather lets up here in Virginia, hopefully over the weekend.

Ok so the car was delivered today. Not staggered wheels 16x8 et11 all around, but chromed. the chrome is bad on the wheels so they will need to be restored. Interior is no bad but the dash has 2 cracks but I have a non cracked dash in my parts pile. The trunk lid where it looks like clear coat is bad is paint missing all the way to the bare Alu. Carpet and front seats, door panels, side glass is all in nice shape and the car body has no dents and no rust. has euro logs and true dual exhaust with no cats. It has the import tag on the drivers side. Just trying to get the over view of the car. Changed out the bad fuel pump, plugs wires, cap rotor air cleaner, fuel filter. tomorrow is oil and filter change and coolent drain and refill. Then to assess the vacuum fittings to see which ones are hard as a rock and need replacement. The car has been sitting 1 1/2 years but I got it up and running Hope you give it a good wash and quick wax and vacuum inside and under the hood to get the leaves out. All in all a good solid AMG to restore. paint 199.

The new steering wheel from 48hp will be a nice finishing touch.

Congrats! Look forward to more picts!

You might double check the front passenger side wheel. As kodiak pointed out it sure looks a 9J:
