That is one stunning car. But, go figure, not one pic of the M117/119 hybrid quad cam engine! Had to be a Japan market car in the beginning of its life.

^The Good Doctor took the words out of my mouth!!!

I have couple of observations:

First time I see a Recaro w/an MB armrest. I love it. Now I'm really contemplating to do the switch. This setup also proves that I've known for some time, that you can keep the armrest WITH a manual shifter.

What do you guys think of the CRAZY prices on the R107?!

My 84 SEL AMG has an OEM armrest grafted onto the Recaro frame under the leather. Done by AMG back in 1984.

I don't see anywhere Japan sign on this can and the seller don't talk about it either. I don't believe the M117/9 was a Japanese thing only.
Was this car for sale with a different hood last year? Nice car for sure, asking is a bit high for me bet who knows?

Beauty!!! I read on BaT that it was originally from/sold in Italy.

Looks to be a case of "if you don't like the price, find another!" type of affair. 80-100K price tag would make it more appealing and approachable though.
