Being Hawaii, I am wondering just how good the chance is that this is a Japan spec car, with all of the really cool goodies. It would make more sense financially, that this came in through Japan, rather than Europe considering the distances involved. And it's a European spec car, not NA.

Yes, its a possibility it might have a Japanese-connection but not necessarily. Its still a US state, so it has the same guidelines like any other state on importing non-US market cars, and importing such a car is difficult. The car looks to be in poor shape, laying out there for a while
