"Yes it is the original engine since we purchased the car. I can also tell you that while we have owned the car it has never been modified in any way, mechanically or other.... just regular maintenance. Unfortunately when we purchased the car it did not come with any build sheets or paperwork from AMG, I do not see any AMG badges on the engine or engine bay and so you may be correct about the 6.0 badge being there for posterity sake.... honestly I am unsure and it still maybe. Having said that, this is a rare bad ass "Autobahn Bomber" that looks and drives the part (solid inside and out). Thanks for the question and sorry I couldn't give a more definitive answer. "
